Shenyang Blower Research Institute (Co., Ltd.)

Shenyang Blower Research Institute (Co., Ltd.) serves as the national technical administrative institution for China’s fan industry. It governs three functional entities: Shenyang Lansheng Fan Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. (Quality Supervision and Testing Center for Fan Products of Machinery Industry); the Secretariat of National Technical Committee for Fan Standardization; Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery, and China Fan Technology Network.

I. Shenyang Lansheng Fan Testing and Certification Co., Ltd.

Quality Supervision and Testing Center for Fan Products of Machinery Industry

Formerly the Fan Testing Laboratory of Shenyang Blower Research Institute (Co., Ltd.), Shenyang Lansheng Fan Testing and Certification Co., Ltd. obtained CNAS laboratory accreditation in 2001 with Lab No. L1544, and holds the CMA qualification certificate for inspection and testing institutions. It is an authoritative, professional and state-authorized statutory third-party testing organization with impartial standing in China’s fan industry.

After years of development, the testing center now boasts an experimental base covering over 1,800 square meters. The facilities include: 80kW DC motor variable-speed test rig, 250kW DC motor variable-speed test rig, 20kW & 30kW AC motor test rigs, inlet/outlet test rig with a 3m×3m plenum chamber, Roots blower test rig, jet fan thrust test rig, as well as blower and compressor test rigs. All test stands of the center adopt automatic data acquisition and processing systems for performance testing.

II. Secretariat of National Technical Committee for Fan Standardization (SAC/TC 187)

Founded in November 1991, the National Technical Committee for Fan Standardization is the centralized authority for the formulation and revision of industrial standards for fans. Its secretariat is hosted by Shenyang Blower Research Institute (Co., Ltd.). The committee members consist of experts from fan manufacturers nationwide, inspection and testing organizations, key universities and research institutes.

It undertakes tasks assigned by the Standardization Administration of China, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China General Machinery Industry Federation. Responsibilities cover project initiation, drafting, revision, review and submission of national and industrial standards for fans; organization and transformation of international standards for fans and turbocompressors. In addition, it provides domestic and international standardization information for fan manufacturers and carries out standard publicity and training across the industry.

III. Editorial Office of Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery & China Fan Technology Network

Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery was first published in 1959. It is one of the earliest and the only professional technical journal in China’s turbomachinery sector. Its coverage includes compressors, blowers, fans, gas turbines, steam turbines, expanders, aero-engines and other products.

In recent years, the journal has built a comprehensive all-media online platform, including Turbomachinery Network, Journal Website of Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery, and Official Website of Chinese International Turbomachinery Conference.

Launched by the journal in 2013, the Chinese International Turbomachinery Conference (CITC) is the sole international academic conference in China’s turbomachinery industry. It has become a gateway for the industry to engage with the world and a platform connecting enterprises and universities for information and technical exchange across the whole industrial chain.

The Chinese International Turbomachinery Industrial Alliance (CITA) is the only industrial alliance organization in the sector. Initiated by Shengu Group targeting domestic and foreign turbomachinery and supporting manufacturers, it is a strategic alliance for industrial technology innovation aiming to drive technological progress of the industry. The alliance secretariat is affiliated to Chinese Journal of Turbomachinery.
