About the Company
Shanghai Apollo Machinery Co., Ltd. was founded in 2001 with a registered capital of RMB 141,675,570. The company is mainly engaged in the integrated R&D, design, manufacturing, supply chain management and extended services of high-end nuclear power pumps and digital electric control systems, onshore and marine LNG pumps, ARTBC cryogenic re-liquefaction systems, as well as equipment related to nuclear fuel cycle and reprocessing.
The company operates four plants with a cumulative investment of RMB 2 billion. In February 2009, it obtained the Nuclear Safety Class 3 (NC3) pump design/manufacturing qualification license issued by the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), and in 2013 obtained the Nuclear Safety Class 2 (NC2) license. It is currently the only manufacturer in China with the capability to supply NC2, NC3 and important non-nuclear-class pumps simultaneously.
Among the 25 key equipment categories of a nuclear power plant, the company has completed the localization of all 11 pump equipment categories. It has supplied products and services to all 45 nuclear units under construction and 57 units in operation in China. The company ranks No.1 in domestic market share in the nuclear pump segment and is among the global top 3 in the industry. Its core products have been applied in the "Hualong One" (HPR1000) Fuqing Units 5 & 6, the Karachi K2/K3 units in Pakistan, and the "Guohe One" nuclear power units — establishing the company as a key core-equipment supplier for China's "Belt and Road" nuclear power export strategy and an irreplaceable leader in the nuclear pump segment.
In the LNG cryogenic pump field, the company has successfully developed high-pressure transfer pumps for LNG receiving terminals, in-tank cryogenic pumps, cryogenic pumps for liquefaction plants, cryogenic cargo pumps for 14,000 m³ LNG bunkering vessels, as well as spare-parts replacement and troubleshooting services for imported cryogenic pumps at LNG receiving terminals. In Yanchi, Ningxia, the company built the world's first large-scale low-carbon, green and environmentally friendly test facility operating with LNG medium at a natural gas liquefaction plant, resolving the key "bottleneck" technology challenge that prevented domestic development of large cryogenic submerged pumps from being verified through LNG medium testing.
